TWO SETUPS
Full-service or moving help in Orange
We supply the truck and driver for full-service local moving. Labor-only moves are for customers who already have a rental truck, trailer, or portable container: you arrange the vehicle and its transportation, and the crew handles carrying and loading.
The crew arrives with dollies, pads, blankets, and standard furniture protection, and packing materials are part of the work price.
STREET CHECKS
Street, parking, and permit checks for an Orange move
- Street sweeping. The City’s Property Information Viewer shows trash and sweeping days for a specific address — check it through City Public Works and follow posted signs.
- Old Towne. Paid parking hours and time limits are posted by block; paying for a space does not reserve it as a loading zone.
- Public right-of-way. Orange treats an encroachment as a physical obstruction in a street or other public property — a legally parked truck is not the same as a container or blocked sidewalk; ask Public Works what applies to your setup.
- Oversize vehicles. A separate Transportation Permit process covers oversize and overweight vehicles; standard moving trucks are not automatically in that category.

PREPARATION
How to prepare for the crew
Clear doorways and walkways before the crew arrives. Move area rugs or loose items away from doorways, empty drawers, and mark the furniture that stays. Have gate codes and building access windows ready.
Have appliances disconnected by the appropriate provider or tradesperson according to manufacturer and building requirements — the crew does not do plumbing, gas, or electrical work. When the route requires it, the crew can disassemble and reassemble a standard bed or table on the clock.

GOOD TO KNOW
Orange moving questions
Can a full-service move handle Old Towne parking conditions?
Yes, but the loading position has to be real. Check paid parking hours, time limits, and posted signs for the exact block — paying for a public space does not reserve it as a loading zone. Tell the team where the truck can legally stand.
I only need help with one heavy item. Is that too small?
No. Small moves and furniture moving are separate service routes. Describe the item, both addresses, and the access path; the written estimate checks whether the trip and crew size make sense.
Do we need a permit for a standard moving truck in Orange?
Not automatically. A legally parked standard truck is different from a container, blocked sidewalk, or reserved work area. If the setup may occupy or obstruct public right-of-way, ask Public Works whether an encroachment permit applies; oversize vehicles have a separate Transportation Permit process.
Request an Orange estimate
Leave your first name, last name, email, and phone number. A coordinator calls you back within one business day to go over both addresses, the items and the access at each end. The written estimate then includes the drive from our San Diego base and any travel charge, so nothing about the route is settled on moving day.
